Church Planter & Lead Pastor
Kent is married to Kaitlin and together they have 4 beautiful daughters: Caris (11), Liza (9), Audrey (6) and Selah (1 1/2). They stay active as a family with softball, music, homeschooling, camping and worshiping together at CCCBL. The Suits Family moved to Batesburg-Leesville to plant Christ Community Church in January 2018.

Shanez Padgett
Worship Director & Media Arts
Shanez was born and raised in Batesburg-Leesville only 5 minutes from our church. Joining us in January 2021, he has enjoyed the opportunity of being on mission in his home community! Alongside his strong passion for worship, he spends the majority of his time working and studying at the University of South Carolina - Aiken. As time progresses, he and his fiancé (Tylea), hope to spend time enjoying the outdoors, growing disadvantaged communities, & spreading the gospel through word and worship.

Susan Clifton
Administrative Assistant & Women's Coordinator
Susan grew up in Gilbert, SC. She and her husband, Jack, joined Christ Community Church in the early months of our beginning as a Church Plant. Susan has served faithfully in the life and ministry of our church, and helps us better steward our resources for the Glory of Jesus and His Kingdom.
One of the verses that inspires Susan's ministry is 1 Peter 4:10-11: "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."

Sarah Shealy
Director of NextGen Discipleship (Kids & Youth)
Sarah grew up in Batesburg-Leesville, SC and is a graduate of South Carolina Connections Academy and Anderson University. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jacob and together they have a son, Logan (18 months.) In her spare time, Sarah enjoys writing, singing, organizing things, and many types of craft hobbies (knitting, crochet, quilting, sublimation…Basically any craft thing you can think of, Sarah has probably tried it or thought about trying it!) Spending over 12 years in education between children’s ministries and public schools, Sarah has a passion for teaching children about the love and grace of God.

Angie McCormick
Volunteer Coordinator
Angie was born and raised in Batesburg-Leesville, SC. She is married to Jodie McCormick and has one adult son, Ray Temples (23). She started attending Christ Community Church in the Fall of 2018 and looks forward to serving and helping others use their gifts for ministry. Angie enjoys spending time working along side her husband and son, helping others, being outdoors, listening to music and reading.

Hunter Tomlin
Seminary Resident & Pastoral Assistant
Hunter Tomlin grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He and his wife, Kara, joined Christ Community in January 2024, desiring to come alongside the church’s gospel ministry during his final year of seminary. Hunter has a passion for worship ministry and discipleship. He is currently studying for his Masters of Divinity at Erskine Theological Seminary. In his spare time, he enjoys running, making coffee & tea, and reading Lord of the Rings with Kara.
One of Hunter's favorite verses for serving in ministry is Romans 8:38-39: "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Jack Clifton
Shepherding Assistant & Prayer Coordinator
Jack grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He and his wife, Susan, joined Christ
Community Church in the early months of our beginning as a Church Plant in 2018. Jack has served faithfully in the life and ministry of our church. He assists Pastor Kent in caring for and shepherding our people in their spiritual walk with Jesus, as well as serving wherever else there is in a need in the church and ministry.
One of Jack's favorite verse's is Romans 12:2: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable, and perfect.”
